NEXUSAGE is a free middleware software from FIBERME. It is free to download, install, and use for life, with no license fees.
The product is currently in beta, but its core functionality is stable and working well.
The primary purpose of NEXUSAGE is to allow any SIP‑based PBX (such as FreePBX, Asterisk distributions, or other vendor systems) to connect to the FRC (FIBERME Remote Connect) cloud service and benefit from all FRC features.
By acting as a bridge between your local SIP PBX and FRC, NEXUSAGE enables:
-
Remote extension registration, so IP phones and softphones can register to your PBX securely from anywhere using only standard internet connectivity.
-
Remote SIP trunks between your local SIP PBX and other SIP PBXs or VoIP gateways (FXO, FXS, E1, GSM), allowing you to interconnect multiple sites and systems without VPNs, static IPs, or complex NAT configuration.
-
Additional cloud features provided by FRC, such as secure tunneling and centralized remote connectivity management for distributed users and branches.
In short, NEXUSAGE turns any compatible SIP PBX into a cloud‑ready system that can leverage FRC for remote work, branch connectivity, and third‑party integrations, while remaining completely free to use
